Congrats to ACEC of Colorado!

Phil & Debi Bush of CMIT Solutions of Denver and Greg Randall of Microsoft presented the Grand Prize to the leaders of ACEC of Colorado

Congratulations to the American Council of Engineering Companies of Colorado (ACEC-CO)!! You were recognized as the Grand Prize winner of the Colorado Technology Makeover! Accepting the Makeover reward was ACEC’s Executive Director, Marilen Reimer, who was visibly overjoyed, thrilled and excited at the prospect of infusing her organization with new forms of technology services and products.

Runners Up were the Denver Public School Foundation and Feldman Mortuary. Kim Martinez, Controller for DPS Foundation, was at the event to accept the Runner Up prize. DPS Foundation raises funds for programs for kids in the DPS system that DPS is unable to cover. Marcie Guerrero of Feldman Mortuary was excited to learn of her company getting the Runner Up prize because Feldman can take advantage of the technology roadmap plan and the other prizes in the package.

Debi Bush, Chief Marketing Officer for CMIT Solutions of Denver and the organizer for the Makeover, was overwhelmed with excitement for the Top 3 Finalists. “This is so great to see how each of these organizations will be able to leverage the different aspects of technology products as well as the services provided by our sponsoring partners!”

Grand Prize Winner to be Announced on April 14th
The nomination period closed on March 28th. The Makeover team is now finishing up documentation in order to present to the panel of judges. The Grand Prize Winer of the Colorado Technology Makeover and the Runners Up will be announced on Wednesday, April 14th in conjunction with the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce’s Business Before Hours. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn Select Cherry Creek on Colorado Boulevard in Glendale.

The event will start at 7:30am. Sponsoring partners of the Makeover, businesses that applied to win the Makeover, judges and many more will be present. Members from the Glendale and Cherry Creek Chambers will be on hand to witness the announcement of the first-ever winner of the Colorado Technology Makeover.

As seen in the Denver Business Journal (3/5/10) and the Glendale Cherry Creek Chronicle’s February 2010 issue, the Colorado Technology Makeover is getting great press and media exposure with more to come!

Microsoft, Verizon Wireless, New Horizons Learning Centers, and CMIT Solutions of Denver have joined forces to reach out to the Denver business community with the first ever Colorado Technology Makeover! It is currently valued at over $55,000. We are bringing together national and local partners to make this possible.

We are inviting businesses (must have at least 5 computer users) to nominate themselves to win the Colorado Technology Makeover (CTM). We are planning to have software, hardware and training services and products.

The Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event on Wednesday, April 14 where the Grand Prize Winner will be announced. As an extra incentive, Microsoft has agreed to give any business a FREE copy of Window 7 who joins the Glendale Chamber as a result of the Colorado Technology Makeover.
